PotashCorp Announces Matching Gift to Humboldt Hospital Up to $500,000 Commitment to District Health Care Facility
Humboldt, Sask. – PotashCorp Lanigan today announced a commitment of up to $500,000 to support the Humboldt District Health Complex.
In a presentation made at the current hospital site in Humboldt, PotashCorp Lanigan’s General Manager, Rob Bubnick, announced that PotashCorp would match every dollar given by businesses and individuals by June 30, 2010, up to a maximum of $500,000.
“Humboldt is an integral part of our mine community, and this matching gift campaign is a powerful way to partner with the people of Humboldt and ensure the new hospital has the equipment it needs to serve the region,” said Bubnick.
The Hospital recently launched its $1.8 Million “Our Legacy...Our Future” campaign to provide equipment for the new health complex. PotashCorp’s commitment to match up to $500,000 of funds raised by June 30, 2010 will help the community leverage the money it raises.
PotashCorp is the world’s largest fertilizer enterprise, producing the 3 primary plant nutrients. The Saskatoon-headquartered company has five potash operations throughout Saskatchewan. PotashCorp employs approximately 1,825 people in the province, including more than 500 who work at PotashCorp Lanigan, 20 minutes from Humboldt.
